Hi have been trying to solve hesitation problems on my 1996 2.0 16v 406
I have been thinking that the fault may be with the map sensor, i have had problems with the fuel lines that go into the fuel rail slipping out due to high fuel pressure and initially thought it may be the fuel pressure regulator. I know that it depends on the map and vacuum to determine fuel pressure etc.
So i was trying to locate the map and thought that following the vacuum hose from the regulator i would be able to find it. Is it the square clear plastic unit that sits directly under the throttle body near the stepper motor.
And is there a way to check this sensor with a multimeter.
I don't have idling problems with the car it is just hesitation.
