Fuel has been contaminated with the additive have cleaned out tank, pipes, new fuel filter and injectors as they were all gunged up. Car still not starting, think it is a solenoid, made a blanking plate to try and fuel is running to injectors, just need to know is it the fuel cut off solenoid, its in the engine bay left hand side goes onto injection on hp pump, its at the end of the engine (clear as mud ) I tried peugeot, they said it was the pressure regulator £300 Cant check it out on service box thanks guys

Pretty sure mine doesn't have a fuel shut-off valve - I think it's only petrol cars that have them.

Will take a picture tomorrow, trying to remember from yesterday and left the Haynes in the car

If fuel is getting to the injectors then the fault must surely be either lack of pressure or the injectors not opening?
If it was a solenoid, no fuel woud reach the injectors?

Without the blanking plate no fuel is getting to the injectors, just trying to source the right part, dont want to buy a part at £300 if its not that....checked through my receipts since getting this car and have spent over £2000 so money is a bit tight, and still got this bill to pay This is the 1st car with this fap system that my 2 local garages have come across so Im trying to gather as much info on it as I can...so I really appreciated any comments etc to guide me in the right direction....Will go to garage after work get photo.. hope that might help

Not sure what part you're describing there. It could be:
1. Fuel pressure sensor, (located on pipework between HP pump & injectors)
2. Fuel temperature sensor, (located on pipework between HP pump & injectors)
(The 2.2's 'common rail' is kinda buried behind the fuel filter etc. due to the 16V head design - you can see some of this on the pics I posted on nutski's wiki thread).
3. Bosch HP pumps have an integral solenoid to enable/disable the 3rd piston & thus regulate fuel pressure under ECU control.
Do you think it's one of these?

info on part is CR/DRV/F/W/10S...........0281002493........18508... can anyone confirm which part it is...Ta

That looks like the fuel pressure sensor, but I don't like the look of whats in the filter bowl, is it some kind of bio-diesel?
Whatever it is it's probably not done the pump any good.

Thats the fuel additive Eloys that has empited into the fuel system again..... on Peugeot planet it was showing the faults fuel filler cap sensor and additive minimum level reached ... replaced sensor and then was showing fuel cap open.... magnets etc been checked Then car wouldnt start
whole system has been drained and injectors etc were all gunged up.... I have taken samples and have written back to garage and Head office as this should not been happening....its regrettable and very uncommon to have any issues with the fap system... where have they been hiding They also said garage would heavily discount me on any repairs but last time this happened (Oct/Nov)they said it was the starter motor .... so more letters in the post....was advised to go a run down the motorway but 6 hour round trip to get to the nearest .... M8 going into Glasgow....

You know, that doesn't look like a pressure sensor to me - looks more like the injection pump electro valve:
0000193338 REGULATOR 2,699.11 HRK 3,292.91 HRK 3,292.91 HRK - it's about 300 quid!

Are you even sure that is the fault? You should have other fault codes like P1113 or P1198 if the sensor is at fault. I would seek the help of a diesel injection specialist.http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/in ... 910AA0MooU
