Fuel Pump Relay

Having read many of the posts on here about the fuel pump and relays i decided to have a look at mine today after it failed to start on Friday.
when i switch on the ignition i get a click but no noise from the pump as i usually do.
checked the fuse and its good put the meter across the fuse seats and switched on the ignition, no voltage there, would this suggest the relay?
i looked in the haynes manual and the owners handbook and no mention of the relay location,
can anyone tell me where the relay is located as i will have to see if i can get one tomorrow.
also is it a simple case of unplugging it.
its a 2000 V plate 90 Hdi.
thanks
