Clutch change price

Post by mjb »

Can people do me a huge favour and call a garage they trust to do a good job and ask how much a clutch change would be on a 1999 406 Coupe 3.0V6 (registration V811HAE if they want it)? With my local trustworthy independent wanting £525 for the job I think it could be worth travelling if someone can do it cheaper

I've been thinking long and (very) hard about it and I don't think I can do it myself without a long weekend and garage facilities like a ramp and impact wrench
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Ah..well I think it was the whole part - the strut, the spring and an antiroll bar (which I know needed replacing)
