fuel tank leak

i have a 1999 hdi, just brought it ,i seam to have a diesel leak from on top of the tank,it looks like its had a new pump,the 2 pipes ore on ok,is there a sill or o ring on the pump that they might have forgot about

When you change the pump you have to buy a seal-ring kit too from Peugeot for about £5.00.

I wonder if the pump's been changed and not had one, it's missing, or it's not tight enough ????

My old pump had a load of epoxy put around the old o-ring when the pump was replaced. I would suggest getting a new o-ring and getting it installed by a mechanic. Its a bit dangerous driving around with diesel leaking inside the car

,thats ok just thought i would ask advice, i am a mechanic i repair buses
