So,

i'm slowly trying to replace all the bits that leak oil on my knackered old 406, it seems like a battle i can never win, but i shall persevere none the less!!

I need to buy one of the little round things that connects the oil filler breather pipe to the air intake pipe, but i have no idea what its actualy called, and i dont want to find myself in the classic parts desk 'guess the part i'm badly describing' charades conversation, you know the one; "yeah, its erm... you know, the little round bit, black, made of plastic".

So if anyone can tell me, i'd apprecieate it, i've included photos below.

Just tell them you want the engine breather that fits into the air intake pipe.

But surely it's easy just to take your photo to the parts department, along with your chassis number?

There should be a wire gauze [spelling?] type thing inside it - it might pay you to wash it out with petrol (it's probably just clogged and oil mist is building up in there).
