warm start problem

I have a 1997 406 1.9 diesel and it starts fine in a morning or if I have left if for an hour or so. The problem is when I have been out driving and stop for 10 mins. When I try to start up again it just wont fire up. If I get jump leads on it then it is easier but not perfect. Any ideas?
Thanks
Gareth

Check that the charging system is doing its job, check the battery for problems, and check the starter motor for problems, if it starts fine with jump leads, that suggests battery or starter motor, but don't overlook earthing faults.Having said all that, I would expect these problems from cold.
If all is well with the above, then move on to filters, injection cleaner, fuel pump, etc.
