Hi all,

Recently my 406 has started to make a clunk noise when you turn a corner that isn't perfectly flat.... It will only do it once and not all the time. You can feel it near the bulk head, well you can feel it through the accelerator pedal

Any Ideas?
Dan

It'll probably be the pear shaped rubber that screws into the OS wheel arch; the top engine mount bolts over the top of it.

It took me absolutely ages to track this down on mine, I changed the drop links, rollbar bushes and top engine mount and it was only when I changed the alternator and had it all apart that I noticed the rubber bush was loose

I managed to get round to checking the mount while doing a cambelt change... You were right, it was loose and now the clunk noise is fixed! It was getting worse, I was beginning to think it was something a little more serious. Makes a change it being a simple fix

Thanks again,
Dan
