Sounds cheap if it includes a Compressor are you sure it's not the more common 'condenser' ?

I thought a new compressor alone is £500.00+

Thats about the going rate to have a condensor replaced , and re-gassed .

That's a shame - this summer's supposed to be a long period of warm consistent weather (apparently) so depending on what you use it for/where your going mostly then I'd think long and hard about it.

The 406's a/c is brilliant! if you're handy you might be able to fit the condenser or get a friend to help etc. and then get a mobile a/c guy to gas it? you should be able to get the whole lot done for £200.00 I'd say.

It needs a pipe too, apparently thats the killer with the part costing £100 its self.

But nah its a 51 plate LX 1.8 D9 so its only worth 1500 is even that. So its not worth spending £300 on, especially with its other minor niggles.

Im considering getting a new 406 and trading it in as in this topic > viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7530
