Random new problem

Post by 406Iain »

Well the bumhole has developed a new issue. After the overcooling issue and one or two other bits its new party trick is being absolutly as flat as a pancake when cold.I can put my foot down in second or third/fourth after setting off and nothing.Just sedate acceleration and thats it.Once its warm its fine (apart from the ever present engine rattle still to be diagnosed after nearly 3 years and a general feeling of "I cant really be arsed") Thing is I do 60 miles a day in it and I dont want it getting to the point of it being out of action.
Anyone any ideas on this new trick?
Thanks.

What car do you have? Petrol / diesel? turbo / aspirated? hard to give you any info, with lack of car info. could be a number of things,

Could be a turbo problem?, crappy diaphragm in the actuator?, blocked line? need new glow plugs / spark plugs, need new HT leads?, dodgy wire?, air getting into the fuel line?, something blocking the air intake? do you notice anything else when its like it? really hard to tell if we don't know what model it is.

When did the symptoms start, how did they start, was it gradual, or instantly (as in over a few hours, or as it said instantly) give us as much detail as you can, helps us a lot better trying to figure out whats going on when we're no where near the car to see for our selves.

Could be the car is in Limp mode and hasn't reset its self.
