Yes, but not one from an HDi obviously. My 2.1 even seems to have all the wiring already.

I thought I'd save you some ag and look on Service Box but it looks like they never fitted it to diesels ( ). There's plenty of bolt-on goodie ones on evilbay tho.

aha - that explains a lot.

always wondered why all listings to the executive said it came with cruise control, and yet for some reason my 2.1 exec didn't have it, now i know

Only Hdi's from around 2000/2001 on. (works by ECU holding the engine RPM, unlike petrols with the servo mechanism to work the throttle).
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

D9 (2001-) petrols with cruise work via the ECU too, as they're drive-by-wire and the throttle cable's not attached to the throttle body. I don't know of any pre-2001 petrols other than the V6 which had cruise control, and then the V6 works by a vacuum pump pulling on the throttle at the same place the cable's attached to...
