just a quick question about dual mass flywheel... how cheap can we get them for?! since changing the engine in my car, i have discovered it is not good and pretty dead. my 90 is not a dual mass so cant just swap it over.

it must be a dual mass as its designed to save the bottom end from severe vibrations from the torque, and as ive just had the car remapped this afternoon, id rather stick with it

i can get a dual mass flywheel from my parts supplier for £180, and a clutch for £75, can anyone get me one cheaper?

If you know anyone who belongs to the Peugeot Trade Club, ask them to price it up for you, there are loads of offers on clutches and stuff at the moment.

You could ask 'rapport25' on here where he got his uprated clutch from for his mapped 110.

Or get a Valeo/LUK solid conversion kit. The DMF is more about driver comfort and damping vibrations through the cabin/drivetrain but if you go solid you'd just need to be sympathetic with the clutch (which most good drivers are).

DMF is a big no no especiallly now you have had a remap.

Get a solid conversion and an uprated clutch.

I purchased mine from Techniclutch. Stage 2 organic clutch and a solid flywheel. This will be more than able to handle the extra power hike.

If memory serves me correct its uprated by around 30% so will match your re map.

mmmmmm or you could do what i did after my remap , left it alone
and waited for the clutch to go , over 2 yrs later i'm still waiting

not sure on the pugs but i know that the boys with the newer BMW's upgrade from the dmf to the solid fly wheel as the dmf is a heavy item and the solid being lighter lets the engine rev quicker.. also the boys with the mondeos are ditching the dmf in favour of the solid flywheel. I've been in one with this done it was a diesel and to be honest it was only at idle you could fell the extra vibration and i wouldn't say it was that bad.. just my opinion
