Faulty Speedo

I have had trouble with the speedo since in got the car, but when i got the car MOT'd 2 wks ago i asked the garage to try and fix it, the speedo kept on drying whilst the car was in motion, the garage checked the price for a replacement electrnic speedo drive with peugeot but it was very expensive, so they got a replacement one from a breakers yard and it fixed the fault the car now drives fault free i have only done around 300 miles but the speedo has not failed once.
