W reg HDi 406 none runner

Got this a cheap run about (ex taxi). It has been very well maintained and everything worked perfectly untill yesterday :cry:
It started no probs in the morning, then dinner time it just to say started (starter motor was very slow) then it wouldn't start at all :cry: :cry: :cry: no clicking or nowt! Hopefully it's just a dead starter, does that sound right?
Anyone had to change 1 recently? are they much bother to do? thanks in advance, Adam.

Sounds like a drained battery - the first thing to check!

Battery, battery, battery, then see if the alternator is charging and if anything is draining the battery.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!
