Hi - new to the forum but not vehicles - I've recently bought a 2001 406 hdi (90bhp) estate and it came with the fault 'anti pollution' - I've read some of the posts relating to this but seems like I need to take it into a local dealer to find out the cause - my local Peugeot guy wants £30 to plug in and check - as an alternative is this item http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-FIAT-CAR- ... 286.c0.m14 going to do the same thing? - car is running on safe mode at the moment and can throw a few pounds at it as I only paid £150 for it - having said that I would rather pay £100 for a diagnostic code reader and then I have something for the next time it goes wrong

Wow, I didn't realise 90bhp versions from 2001 had this issue!

just for everyones information I bought one and yes it works fine - best 25 quid I've spent in a long time - also works on my SAAB and few of my mates cars
