I have an 406 D9 2002 Auto, I live in Indonesia. I Have a problem regarding my 406 D9 Automatic, the part of the gearbox is broken. I have contacted my nearest Dealer in Indonesia and they said the broken part is the Automatic Control Lever with p/n 2400 p6. I want to buy it but the delaer said that French Peugeot didnt have the part. How can? I've been asking for the part for almost 6 months but until now Peugeot Indonesia does'nt have the answer, Now my car is broken and I can't drive my peugeot. Please inform me about that part. This pasrt is making me crazy!

Do you have any sugestion? the cable is broken in the plastic part near the gearbox

Hi there! I just had a squint and it's listed and should be available. One shock is the lever and the cable are all one part and it's about 4,300IDR (200 quid) - eek!!

Are you able to get parts off of destroyed cars there, or is it like here where they think a smashed-up car is a goldmine?

Ya, my nearest dealer told me that they didnt have the part, neither the French head office. How can peugeot make a car if they dont have the part. The part is in assy unit from the gear knob, cable, until the ohther plastic end (this plastic end is broken). I tried to find ir from the junkyard but it was very difficult since we only have one peugeot special junkyard. Does peugeot UK have it in the part division? if UK has it, i can prove it to my dealer and tell them to import it from UK. thanks -sorry for my bad english-
