Poor turbo boost?

Hi all

I bought a 2003 GLX HDI 110 a few weeks ago and I am loving it! I have however a little issue. When I bought the car I was ecstatic at the power, when it got to about 2000rpm the turbo kicked in and properly kicked me into my seat. After a few days however the boost disappeared on a run and I was struggling to get the car up to 50mph.

I cleaned the MAF as it was black and I've now got a nice smooth band of power all the way through to 4500rpm BUT no real noticeable turbo kick (although I am getting up to speed no problems I know the car can do more!)

I found that the MAF? sensor (comes on the intercooler top pipe with Denso on it?) had a broken pipe, I glued it all back together and power is again improved BUT still not quite what it was.

I can't see any split hoses

Any ideas?

finally, I have 0% skill with cars :(

P.S. hello i'm new ;)

Replace the pipe, don't glue it, there might still be an air leak. Vacuum pipes to the egr valve or wastegate. In fact take the bloody egr valve off all together.
