anti pollution

been looking through the anti pollution posts via the search but am not able to find out the answers im looking for so at risk of repeating someone else i ask the question what are the possible causes of this light illuminating, it doesnt come on all the time but quite regulally and it does restrict the power to about 2 1/2 3000 rpm, is this likely to be an easy fix or does it involve a visit to peugeot, are there things i could try first in an effort to fix it , having limited knowledge

Antipollution fault seems to be the standard message for everything else that doesn't have it's own specific message. There's loads of things that seem to bring it on. Sorry!
