Hi,
Over the last few days of owning this car a petrol 2.0 sri turbo, i have noticed the turbo only seems to work now and again, and judders sometimes, it picks up when it comes in and can feel the difference, but 75% of the time there is nothing, is there anyway of servicing it yourself???
And whats involved ??
Thanks, Mark.

My guesses in order of likelihood for an intermittent problem:
1. The wastegate solenoid - little valve on the o/s near the cambelt cover
2. Sticking wastegate. You can get under the car and try to move the actuator arm
3. Sticking dump valve. Take it off and push the valve open - see how it feels

Where about is the dump valve????
And where is the actuator arm located underneath??
Thanks for the info
Mark

Round thing on top between a large vertical pipe and a large horizontal pipe with 2x 1" diameter (roughly) bits of rubber hose going to it and a much smaller hose going into the centre of the end

Between the turbo and the actuator. Get under, look for the turbo and you'll see it
