Hi all,
I Have a 1998 406lx 2.1 turbo D.
it take about 10secs to get started then it only just keeps going, not much revs very lumpy if you keep your right foot to the floor,
Then all i get is loads of dark grey smoke i mean Loads, turbo is spinning head gasket seems okay.

Has anyone had this problem could some one please help.

If its only smoking when you start up from cold then my first guess would be the glow plugs are knackered and need replacing

Second that had a townace once , the same symptoms same cure

Third that too, what she like when she's warm?

Hi all
Its the same when its warmed up abit i dont like running it long,
Its like its getting to much fuel and no air,checked all pipes and clear,
When i say smoke i mean you cant see up the street and it runs realy ruff lumpy ect

1 more time. GLOW PLUGS

Or a glow plug relay...
