Starter motor help

Before i buy another starter motor for my car, can anyone tell me if matters if my car is an estate and I buy a s/m off a coupe?
I wouldn't have thought so, but you cant be too careful can you?

I'd have thought it was only the engine that was important for fittings etc.

Thought as much. I know it seems a silly question but still not UP on these cars yet, as i usually drive a 91 mercedes 190e.
Anyhoo...just bought a s/m off the flea bay for 30 quid delivered from a salvage yard in Devizes. Need to put it on REAL bad as it stuck again today....getting worse.
Also, bought a set of drop link bars off ebay for 15 delivered. My mate is gonna be busy

As a follow on....starter and drop links now fitted!!
My mate, who fitted the stuff, had a bit of nighttmare with the starter. He had to remove a small piece of the exhaust to get at the starter. Was there an easier way to get at it?
The drop links were a bit of a pig, but, we found if you undo the nut as far as you can and clamp a set of grips at the back of the nut, it was a lot easier. No knocking from the front anymore though!!
Gonna get the old starter reconditioned, as then I'll have a spare and not need to hunt for one.
On a different note, when removing the little piece of exhaust with a 13mm spanner, be carefull not to drop it in the exhaust,as my mate did
MOT and tax in the next week....getting to like it now!!

Afraid not - the V6 exhausts are a pain. Because of the massive 2-into-1 section of manifold at the back of the engine, you pretty much need to remove the whole subframe just to get the o/s driveshaft out
