Knocking from the frunt

My 2.1td has developed a knocking from the frunt'
it's quite a metalic knocking and knocks when I start the engine, when I hit a bump, when I change gear, when I stop the engine
At first I thought it was a ball jouint, but they are both ok, so are the drop links and the anti roll bar bushes.
The gear change is unafected (apart from the knocking),(but it is cable operated).
It's due for it's MOT in less than a month so I need to get it sorted soon, I already have a good list of other work to do
Rear wheel bearing, F/L track rod end, frunt disc's and pads, hand break uneven.
Ooooh, it sounds like a lot of work when you write it down.

If it's doing it when you start and stop the engine then it's likely to be an engine mount I would have said.

Engine mounting and/or your exhaust was fitted by Quick Fick.

I've found the knocking, it's the top engine mount, the vertical one (mushroom jobby) is moveing whare it meats the body.
Looks like it's come unbolted.
Thank good it's not the bottom mount.

I've sorted the knocking, I only had to jack the engine up, undo the left hand nut on the mount, then knock the mushroom bit it round with a hammer and long screwdriver untill it was tight, only took 10 mins
The break disc's and pad's are done and so is the track rod end.
I also treated it to a service and some new glow plugs.
BUT, now I have a funny vibration when turning left
It's only on sharp corners when putting my foot down a bit !
Any ideas guy's.

Well done that man! I had the same on my car about 2 years ago, replaced the drop links & antirollbar bushes before I even thought of looking at the mount

Took it in for the MOT today, even though I hadn't done the wheel bearing (after a closer look it was fine) or the hand break.
It passed with an advise on N/S drop link and an oil leak.
Not so bad realy.
OH and the emmitions were fine with my homebrew biodiesel
