Hi Folk
I'm looking for some advice.
A friend of mine has a K regTalbot 1500D motorhome which has been subjected to a nasty piece of vandalism which has destroyed the engine and gear box.
The engine is a 2.5TDI which he is finding hard to get but he has been told that as a last resort a 1.9TDI engine from an early Peugot 406 might fit.
Is there anyone out there who could confirm this one way or the other.

You might also try an earlier XUD11, 2.1 a little more poke.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.

I'd imagine the gearchange/clutch wouldn't be anything similar. The Talbot Express also seems to be the Peugeot J5, the Citroen C25 and the Fiat Ducato...
