Speaker wire colours. 406 Estate

For all the want to add aftermarket speakers to your Pug then here is the wire colour code!

Front Left...... Purple is + and Grey is -

Front Right (Drivers side) is exactly the same as above.

Rear left..... Light Brown is + and Red is -

Rear Right..... Yellow is + and White is -

This was taken from a 2001 406 LX Estate. I'm sure other Estates will be the same, maybe saloon versions aswell.

Excellent. Just to double-check - on aftermarket speakers, the fat one is +ve & the thin one is -ve?

I think that's right, although it doesn't matter if they're all the same. Or use your 9 volt battery again, apparently if you put the plusses together and the minusses together the speaker will pop outwards.
