normally the spring goes so they don't pop open. its gone on mine, start by not always opening, then stopped opening.

I just put something under the release handle and push the right slide of the flap and it opens.

Same with mine, a plastic bit has snapped off it. I had to jam the Cigar lighter thing under the leaver then push the right of the flap in to refuel..... now i have lost the Cigar ligher and now use my wallet.... This i find useful as there would have been 2 occasions when i'd have fulled up and forgot my wallet.... so no wallet... not much of a chance i can open the flap :P

Same thing with all four of mine. after trying various bits of foam etc. I found the best way to fix it is with the spring from a wooden clothes peg. Just slide the hinge pin up as far as it will go, it can be tricky getting it past the little retainer thing at the top with only 2 hands, insert the spring & push the pin back down through it.

Bloomin' marvelous! :cheesy:
Takes 5 minutes. No more using an outstretched leg while opening the flap. Ooh-er missus!

I bet that flap wangs out with awsome force now, in a James Bond style  you could knock cyclists off with the awsome power of the clothes peg powered flap
