Which HDi fuel filter - Bosch, Siemens, Mahle - wot??

As motor factor's parts catalogues are generally wrong I thought I'd make a wee post here to clarify the matter. As far as they're concerned they're either Bosch or Siemens, which is clearly bull poo.

Early HDi's seem to have been fitted with the Bosch housing, later with the Mahle, but change-over times are rather confused. This is what Service Box has to say on the subject:
