I just don't like cloth any more. Since fitting leathers in my first 406, I never considered a car without it and don't think I will again. My diesel Accord was leather (very comfy!) and my current one is leather.

Ask me this in a couple of weeks when my cars transformation is complete....

Basically, for reasons that have already been listed I've chosen leather - plus I wanted electric seats, none of this twisty knob business!

hahah Fuzzdog.

I was thinking the same thing, why there isnt vote for leather-clotch combination,i think that would be great.
leather on the outside and cloth in the middle of the seat, some stylish combination.

Well I've just been in a car with leather seats, and I don't mind the cold on my bum, but I find the cold on my back quite unpleasant.

I also noticed that the seats are quite firm: you sit on them rather than in them, and I don't like it!

I had no idea just how good my French armchair is!

Hmmmm I guess that's why they have heaters in? Is the heating element just in the ass part of the seat or the back too?
Maybe I ought to re-think and add the heating element anyway

Heats both bits of the seat.

I didn't use them at all for the first few years [/real man]

Now I've perfected the 'take the chill off without them getting hot' technique. (I don't like freezing, but find hot seats uncomfortable).

Was that in a 406 or something German? I thought my leathers were every bit as comfortable as the original cloths :? The yoyo is like sitting on a bar stool after the 406.

You really hate that thing? Why don't you sell it? ...or destroy it Top Gear style.

Because I'm not allowed :frown: Thing is, I care so little about it I don't care where I park it or what happens to it while it's parked, I leave it out all winter, fill it full of garbage (mostly firewood & garden tools) and generally treat it like crap. If I did get rid, what would I replace it with? What other car would have the same "qualities"?

The seats I sat on eather than in are in a 10-plate RAV4. Say no more.
Same problem with German leather: I think it's because the leather is stiff.

Been for a test drive in a 407 today (more on that when I have a full size keyboard). The nain outcome is seeing what a completely brilliant car the 406 is. Anyway, what's relevant here is that the sides of the 406 seat are built up taller.
