Hello everyone

Post by Fozzy »

Hello

I have joined up to the site as i have got my hands on my parents 406 GTX as it has a problem so i am going to try and fix it.

This is the car as it stands.

The problem with all started when it cut out, and wouldnt start. Left it a few months it started about three times and now is back to not starting. Just keeps turning over. Will be doing a search of the site to see if i can find any answers.

For Now the plans are to get it started. If i manage to sort that i plan a few Mods Like Black masks and mayb lower it a little bit.

I have owned many 306's and currently own a 306 Rallye.

Now off to search the site :supafrisk:

Hello and welcome on in mate :cheesy:

as Teamy said we need to know more about the motor so we can all cast some wild aspersions and give you the sum total of our collective knowledge (not much input from me tho sadly) and help get the old girl started again :supafrisk:

Ye i should have thought that post through more carefully.

Its a 2ltr petrol, from what i know its different from the 306 2ltr xsi as has a different inlet manifold. Its the GTX model car, top of the range climate control, electric seats elec windows 6cd changer is really comfy.

Possibly crankshaft position sensor, have you checked to see if you're getting spark?
I would start a new thread, you'll get a lot more people looking at it then! :)
