Well I have to admit that this loan Focus is so different to the Focus diesel that I owned. Had my Focus have driven like this one, I would still have owned it and been a whole lot better off. Sometimes I wonder if the build/drive quality of a car actually gets worst towards the end of the production run, whatever the make? For me, the "Y" reg 406 estate that I owned three years ago, is a better car than my latest 406 which is 3 years newer.

I collected my 406 yesterday afternoon. The dealer replaced both outer CV joints as he was unable to obtain the ABS rings alone. I have now driven the 406 for 70 miles and the brakes seem to be fine. I now have to begin the re-bonding process with my Peugeot, just hope that I succeed!!!. Many thanks to all who have helped with comments on this matter.

My Mrs has a 2007 Focus and I really like it (despite the fact that some spineless cnut has keyed it the full length of the passenger side   ), it's nicely specced, well built, very easy to drive and handles like it's on rails. It's a pretty big car too, loads of room inside and in the boot, it has decent road presence yet somehow still feels really nippy. Having said that we did a couple of longish trips in it over the summer and for a decent run I'll take the 406 any day, soo much more comfortable, quiet and relaxing to drive.... :cheesy: 8)
