Hey guys,
i've come back into the wonderful world of Pug 406 ownership after a bit of a break... been driving a highly tuned Saab 9000 Aero for the last couple of years. I've had a couple of 405's in the past, including a 1905cc Td, and a 1.6 petrol. And have just aquired an S reg 406 Turbo Diesel. I'm quite handy with the old spanners and if pug dealers are the same as Saab dealers (and i've no doubt they are!!??) I will be doing all the work on the car my self...With a little help from you knowledgable chaps
Sorry, yes it is a 1.9td. Does that mean i can run it on veggie oil!!?? My Saab has 350bhp . More than a hand full in the wet... you should see the look on M3 drivers faces when they get creamed by an old barge!! Lol

Oh yes, it seems the best engine on the 406 for that sort of thing: the 2.1 needs a fuel pump off of an old 1.9 td (405 Xantia mk1 etc) plus a lot of fiddling, HDis will only run on a percentage (or so I'm told). Currently being discussed here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13723&hilit=veg*+oil#p125980 but there's a load of stuff about it on this forum, just have a search.
