Welcome!

From what I understand, it's best to get the remap first - that way if your car doesn't seem to "take" the new map properly, at least you still have the FAP system in a semi-working condition. I am no expert though.

IIRC, there was someone else recently de-FAPPing his car in your part of the world, but due to my great age and ever-widening circle of 2.2 HDi owners, I can't always remember who's who.

I obvoiusly need to look further afield as nobody has come forward near Cumbria. I am desperate for help as the FAP light and the management light now stay on nearly all the time.

Can anyone else help I would be willing to travel within reason

I can help! Anyone who knows me from the 406coupeclub can vouch for my workmanship! I kind of do this for a living along with other HDi fixes! Long way to travel for you though, you may want to look closer, but i have had people come from as far as Ireland for my help! I have PP2000, Galletto and use of a fully equipped workshop.

Welcome Finchy and yes, even though I am thousands of miles away I can vouch for him, plenty of people happy with his work on the coupé forum!

Tewkesbury mate, its on the Worcestershire/Gloucestershire border. Its a lovely town, many folk make a weekend of it if they're having me do a few bits and pieces.

Don't you get lots of flooding down there? Must be a bugger for home/car insurance :(

I work for Halliburton up in Aberdeen, but there's an office I support out at the Ashchurch Business Centre, there's some good folk work there.
