My danish 3.0 V6

Post by Jesper »

Hi guys

Just wanted to present myself in this great forum. Living in Denmark, 45 years old and used to be a Ford Focus fanatic. Still the owner of the danish Focus Owners Club :cheesy: Sold my 2008 Focus TDCi a couple of years ago and bought a 205 1.9 GTI from 1992. Also made a club in DK for the 205 of course  Absolutely love it, but it´s not cut out for the road salt during the winter. So - two months ago, I bought a second car - a 406 3.0 V6 from 2003. Lowered it some weeks ago and fitted OZ Superturismo. And whooaaa it drives awesome. Love that engine roar from the BMC filter.

Future plans are Laguna splitter and maybe a boot spoiler.

Here are some pics of the 406

Thanks guys for the nice welcoming - yes it is in mint condition. Mileage is only 140.000 km and it´s been rust treated from start under the car. Told the dealer to change cambelt if we where to have a deal, since this is quite expensive to get done.

Haha...towbar stays on I´m afraid - I live in the countryside, and need to transport garden waste from time to time

Here´s an engine pic - looks brand new!!

The best thing about this 406 pugs are that they look so SO GOOD with just alu rims.
Your car is in very good condition, the engine is fantastic,so clean.
those silver rings around clocks are nice,i will put it in my D8 pug.

Anyway, this is way better than that focus :cheesy:

Wonderful! But you are definitely missing a front strut brace, if now it drives well, it'll drive even better with it! If was fitted to V6 coupes and can be easily found at breakers or bought from ade1122 on the coupé forums.

*very* nice 8)

Quite rare in the later spec, I'm sure they dropped the V6 over here before the later SE/S spec came out in the last few years?

What tyres are you running? Looks like Falken FK-452?
Do they suit the 406? I've heard good stuff about them but they are said to be too noisy.

Yes it´s Falken FK-452. Not noisy at all. They are a bit wide though. 225 to be axact. On bumps they scratch on the fenders, so I will soon have to grind some off, and then it will be fine.

They are actually quite good in rain also. I went through something close to a monsoon the other day without problems. Good grip as well.
