rear brake discs

Post by andrew1608 »

I am needing some advice, I got my MOT done in december 06, but on the advisoy sheet it says

Nearside Rear brake disc slightly scored (3.5.1h)
Offside Rear brake disc slightly scored (3.5.1h)
Offside Rear suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.3)

i have been to my local garage they can replace the rear suspension arm for £50, but do my brakes discs need replaced or do they just need something done to them. Can someone advise me accordingly. I am going to be towing a caravan at easter so want to get this sorted pronto

i will just get the garage to do an interim service £65 and the suspension arm and leave it at that.

Why not get the brakes fixed? Seems a bit strange to leave your car with a potential MOT failure point, especially on the brakes!
