hiya all
well i went and did it i got rid of my petrol guzzeling vectra and got me a 406 diesel its a 1.9 td 99 on a t and thats about all i know about it apart from it's not the hdi (sulk) :cry: still it's gotta get better mpg than the 23 my vectra was

so if anyone knows what model it is (i've seen d8 d9 mentioned on here and have nooooooooo clue) give me a shout also if anyone has any essential must add mods for it then please please let me know

Hi and welcome, if it's a 1.9 then it's a D8 as the D9's are HDi's

wooooooooo-hoooooooooooo so it's a d8 now to find out how to fit trip comp and cruise control without the missus finding out lmao :evil:

Aww diddums, you picked up the last of the D8s before they went multiplex, awww. Read on, you'll soon realise you should be cheering! As for mods & retrofitting stuff, there's loads on here so don your dearstalker and have a browse :cheesy:

You're in for some fun :cheesy:

Trip computer installation (don't attempt unless you're handy with electrics) may be impossible if you've not got a Bosch ECU (I suspect the diseasels may use Siemens instead) and the cruise control retro-fit is dependent on you having a compatible throttle body and the will to splash a fair amount of cash

All good fun though 8)
