Hello Barney,
1 inch = 25.4mm
1 foot = 12 inches, or 304.8mm
If something was 1 foot, 8 inches long then we write 1' 8"
Computer programmes are unlikely to use inches and feet so hopefully my conversions above might help?
A little story: When I got married my wife said she prefered 8 inches in the bed, I take it she meant that the Matress was to be 8 inches thick? anyone?

Re: hi from spain
Don't apologise Barney, your English is far better than our Spanish!
800,000 miles is pretty impressive! You can take it round the clock and sell it with low mileage!
