Hello Barney,

1 inch = 25.4mm
1 foot = 12 inches, or 304.8mm

If something was 1 foot, 8 inches long then we write 1' 8"

Computer programmes are unlikely to use inches and feet so hopefully my conversions above might help?

A little story: When I got married my wife said she prefered 8 inches in the bed, I take it she meant that the Matress was to be 8 inches thick? anyone?

Hello and welcome. You could try 1'8" as (12 + 8) so 20 inches.

Don't apologise Barney, your English is far better than our Spanish! 8)
800,000 miles is pretty impressive! You can take it round the clock and sell it with low mileage! :cheesy:
