You're probaby best off going to an engine specialist, rather than a "poke & hope at your expence" Peugeot franchise.

Hi Saffy, here is the thread where Darren had trouble with the pug specialist, he doesn't say where it is though so I don't know if it's the same one as you're looking at. Maybe send him a PM?

Welly's ignoring me but you don't see me sulking!
Anyway...my puggy running beautifully (165mile drive in 2.5 hours) and got to the bottom of the random beeps at last it is now accompanied by the slightest glimpse of the battery indicator light, had a potter around under the hood, seems a wire from the battery to the alternator has a nasty clump of insulating tape hiding a dodgy connection beneath, all fixed now. Girl power! I'm sure the beeps must have peed the previous owner off why he didn't sort it out I don't know?! :cheesy:

Well done that lass! I think every car I've ever owned has had at least one stupid fault that's been so easy to fix I've wondered why the previous owner hasn't sorted it out themself. Nowt queer as folk...

Wasn't ignoring you saffy - I forgot  I only ever use 'view new posts' on here and easily miss stuff sometimes.

Glad you sorted that silly fault - and I agree that every car I've ever bought always comes with a free silly fault to sort out, it's just the last owners way of saying "I can't be arsed with this thing anymore" :|

Only teasing Welly! :cheesy: Yes the more I think about it you are definately right guys, every car I have had has had some stupid piddly niggle that really could have been sorted.
Funniest thing ever happened to me - well wasn't very bloody funny at the time! I had a (owch) montego many moons ago, famous for rusting I know, but deadly reliable, I was filling it up at the garage, wondering how much it would take & when the tank would actually fill when I realised the petrol nozzle had poked a hole right through the petrol filler pipe and the only thing I was filling up was the floor of the forecourt!

This was back in the day when petrol was by the gallon and £30 filled your tank (sweet distant memories!) I actually remember I coated the concrete with £33 thinking I' sure it only takes £30 to fill??!! The camber of the concrete ran away from the car so only when I saw the flood on the other side of the car flowing across the forecourt did I notice something was wrong, pulled out the nozzle and realised I could also see the floor through my filler cap! I paid  and left discreetly
