Hello from Deepcut!

Post by JonL »

Just to introduce myself, I am currently living in Deepcut Surrey and own a, very broken, 1999 406 HDi 90 Estate.

Briefly the engine catastrophically failed last week and I am trying to do a swap to get her back on the road. I will post full details in the relevant forum as there are lots of questions I need to ask!

I also run a stripped out Mk2 Golf as a track toy and enjoy tinkering whenever I get the chance.

Anyway that's me, regards,

Jon

Nice to see a local member in any forum, especially when you may need an extra pair of hands from time to time. Yes there has been lots of help from the knowledgeable folks in the engine section, when they can drag themselves away from talking about chillies and cooling their toilet paper that is! :cheesy:

Overall just what is needed from a car enthusiast site.

Hi Jon & Welcome 8)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your HDi - major mechanical problems seem very rare.

(The business with the loo roll's a bit more common IMHO).

2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)

Bah... as I said, you just can't get bog roll cold

Now, wet wipes on the other hand... there's something to try!

Rather you than me.

I reckon this is the grub equivalent of a hangover - indicates a lack of practice

Haha it's only really an abundance of chilli seeds (like on a pizza with jalapenos) that gives me trouble. Doesn't happen when I've consumed ludicrously hot sauces

If you want really cold bog roll, try dipping it in water then putting it in the freezer overnight, I believe you will have some bog roll at about -19 degrees C :cheesy:

It'd probably stick to your arse. I know what would probably be good, I have a bidet in my upstairs bathroom (oooh, etc.). I've thought about washing my feet in it but the only time I ever used it for anything was the time I got up for a slash in the night, staggered to the bathroom more asleep than awake, and came to when my legs started getting wet

Why is it that the first shite in the morning after a hot curry the night before
comes out doing an impression of a Saturn V lifting off ?? just what is
in it that turns normally well formed firm turds into mush ? and where does the
pressure come from that forces it out at such a velocity :?: or is this something
i will go to my grave thinking about having never found the answer

Well I've started two threads and they are both growing nicely! Must be a first for me.....

Now back to the in depth discussion about cooling backsides after a good curry.
