used 406 diesel ?

i have saved a little money and really want a 406 diesel estate . could somebody please advise me which older models are best as i have maybe £700 only to spend .

Keep an eye on ebay for bargains, the available diesel engines are the 1.9 & 2.1.

Yep 86p a ltr fuel when bought at Macro in 20 ltr containers, just pour it into your tank.

For even cheaper fuel ask local restaurants for there used oil and properly filter it. Fuel for next to nothing, if you prepared to do some leg work.

This is all I do:-
Collect Waste Veg Oil
Let it settle at ambient temperature, minimum 2 wks
Pour good top oil into a 120 ltr container, stop pouring when oil becomes cloudy
Filter good oil thru a 10 and 1 micron filter into a 20 ltr cubee while adding 10% Petrol
Shake cubee and pour into car

In this weather you can add upto 15% Petrol, it helps keep the Veg Oil thin. You would need to add 3 times that of Diesel to do the same job.
Petrol in a Diesel is fine, most cars it says in the handbook you can add a percentage of Petrol in cold weather.
