Hello From A 406 Sri Turbo Owner

Post by will2c »

Hi, Joined the forum to find out a bit more on my car and get some of my question answered

I'm from Ayrshire in Scotland and I mostly stick to T16 powered Rovers but this car came up at a good price :)

Anyway Some Pictures:

Hi and welcome.
That does look like a very nice example indeed.
I like the fact you colour co-ordinated your Brembos to match the 'L' plate, nice touch :cheesy:
Wheels look good too, similar to what I'm after :supafrisk:

Brembos are those fake plastic stick on covers from ebay, Were on the car when I got it and don't look that bad, better than painted calipers IMO

Yeah the interior is nice maybe to someone like stevie wonder, Would like to upgrade it to black leathers if thats possible

I'm not keen on the wheels, Might get some Plasti-Dip and turn the black centres white and see how it looks

welcome to the forum mate, lovely car, looks great in white.
We have same engines under bonnet, how does that airbox behave, cuz i dont see any protection from the engine heat.

Give us some info about the engine, upgrades etc etc.

Don't know if it would be a better idea to remove the rest of the air box and move the filter closer to the front of the bay and run a cold air feed to it.

As far as engine mods go Forge Motorsport Dump Valve and Cone Filter and thats about it, Car was Completely standard before the previous owner got to it.

I think he was running it with a MBC, this is something I have thought about but what's a sensible boost level to run at on these engines?

I've seen this somewhere recently.
Did you buy it for your girlfriend to learn it but it was too powerful so you're selling it on?
What a shame, lovely car. :D
