Hello There

Post by Waxman »

New to Peugeot.

To be honest it's a car that I've never really considered.

But have just picked up a GTX HDi 110 Estate, Surprised at how well specced it is and even more surprised about the lack of rust. !!, It's running K&N filters and has a tuning box that takes it to an alleged 140bhp and better torque.

Currently the car is going through a detox as it's wearing it's 217k miles in a lot of ways.

But looking forward to making it worthy again. Looking forward to getting some decent MPG for once

So, hi, hope to play an active part on the forum

Hello and welcome :)

These cars have a galvanised chassis, so they very rarely rust.

Enjoy the car!

Hi & welcome to the forum. 8)

The 406 is frequently underestimated, they're wonderful mile eaters and the 110 is the most economical of the bunch.

Once you find your feet, I suggest evaluating a remap rather than the tuning box as it's at least as effective, better for your car and needn't cost much.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Thx for the activation and the comments.

Peugeot is all new to me, never been in one, driven one and to be honest the car is a bit of an eye-opener as to actually how nice they are [seem to be] . - I'm sure as with any manufacturers they have there 'moments' and typical 'thats what they do' about them.

Nice to find a forum dedicated to the marque with knowledgeable users on

Thx

:D
