Oops Sounds like you need a session with a code reader.I guess the lift pump (in the tank) is choice, could you hear it running when it wouldn't start?

Re: Hi, new person here
Well glowplugs maybe but HDis don't rely on them so much. Hopefully that'll be an end to the problem, btw the noise you're listening for is a rushing sound from the in tank lift pump under the back seat, presumably that was what was replaced in your glovebox litter.
Edit: Probably, they're not the most useful thing in the world but better than guessing. Besides, someone has to stop them going bankrupt

Re: Hi, new person here
Lol, the wiring came from under bonnet mate, it went after a little foot on accelerator then turned off and started back up outside house and fired up 1st turn with no engine light. I only went back out to it to see if there was a switch somewhere to fold in the mirrors which I learnt last night were electric folding 1's but don't know how to fold in lmfao, this car is exciting already, just found automatic window wipers and interior mirror, what an upgrade from a j reg clio, I'm not used to this hahahaha
Re: Hi, new person here
Well an update, all running well, been to see my cousin at the garage today who checked engine over and plugged it in, he said all codes and faults aim at fuel filter and that when running no codes come up, he said I've bought myself a minter :-)
Here are a few pics of it
More will be added when I start cleaning her tomorrow :-)

Re: Folding mirrors - turn the round adjuster knob all-the-way round to the little white dot (it'll feel like you're breaking the switch but don't worry).
