I just wanted to introduce myself. My names Rob, and for the last 10 years or so I've had several 406 estates. The 1st was my old 1.9dt which refused to give up and was the best car on fuel I have ever known.

In 2010 when it was just too much to get Betsy through another mot, I bought a 2002, 2ltr Glx estate.

That was 5 years ago and still going strong!

During the time I've had the above two cars my wife has had a couple of saloon 406's one petrol, the other a 2,2 turbo diesel.

Anyhow the reason for this post is that over the last 10 years I've had numerous problems & faults some common and easy to fix, others a nightmare and the last thing you'd think of.

If any of the things I've learnt can help others great! And I hope to learn more while here because even now bits and bobs go wrong and I struggle, often thinking my cars possessed .
