Hi everyone!

Found this place from the Wikipedia 406 entry!

I've just bought an X plate 406 HDi 110 yesterday. Covered 300 milles in it already and am LOVING it!

What a great car, I'm so pleased that I made the switch - have previously had Mundaneos and Vectras in the past and can't get over how comfortable and well-specc'd the car is compared to those!

I'll be posting some pictures once I've had the chance to give her a bath and a scrub-up, but just wanted to say hi!

Current plans for the car? Well, she's on 115k with no sign of a cambelt having been done, so that's a priority. After that? I guess I'll just be keeping her serviced, clean and racking up the miles - we have a trip to Switzerland planned for next year, so that'll add a few thousand!

Cheers all,
James

Awwwww, the honeymoon period. I remember it well

Sorry fella, me and the 6 have fallen out of late over some repair bills. Hopefully we will be back on speaking terms soon.

I've been well screwed by the 6 in just one year. If you have tears, prepare to shed them now:

Air Con Condenser failure (300.00)
Broken road spring (90.00)
Radiator cooling fan/ECU fault (300.00)
New eggsauce section (80.00)
Tyre (65.00)
Nice Puggy Dealer service/thermostat/flush/fuel filter/air/pollen/oil/aditives etc etc (239.00)
Failed Bottom pulley (now off road) Cost?????????

As you can see over a bag of sand in running repairs, and only 7000 miles

She looks nice though :|

welcome, dont let welton's car give you bad thoughts about the 406, he's just had worse luck than me with cars, usually they are very reliable....
