New to this forum - Hello from Germany

Post by deMarcel »

Hi,

I'm Marcel from Germany, some might know me from the 406 Coupe Club forum.

I currently have a 2l galileo green coupe (owned since March 2011), a 2l polaris blue coupe and a hades grey 3l V6 auto (settant anni).

I've got soft spot for the coupe, but like all sorts of 406s :good:

I hope I can contribute on here too from now on! :)

Have a nice evening,

Marcel

Welcome to the forum Marcel. It's so nice to see another EW10 owner here. :)

Can I ask if you've added an air cone filter, if so how have you routed it? I am thinking I need a longer hose to run and I'd love to mock up some kind of heat proofing from the engine. Interested to see how (or if) you've done it. :)

Hi Sonia,

I think we also spoke to each other on Facebook!

I have not fitted a cone filter, in fact I'm now back to standard OEM air filters. I have had a K&N filter, which, after I cleaned and reoiled it, brought up a "mixture regulation fault" (I guess some of the filter oil got sucked into the air intake and disturbed sensors...).

I have, however, fitted a Nivek air scoop (a forum member over at the 406 coupe club site used to make them) to get rid of the poor standard air path.
