Hi There, just joined

Post by Smudger »

I have a 2000 406 Exec Saloon HDi, still going strong after nearly 17 years.

Just joined as I'm having a few small issues, and want to fix myself rather that lobbing out to a dealer/garage for stuff I can do myself.

Can't really fault the car, I've had it 12 years and it's only had 1 breakdown in that time (fuel pump) and lately hasn't been costing me anything to get through MOT. After the initial electric problems that seemed to befall this car, it all seems to have gelled into a no-fuss car that's still happy to cruise on the motorway and potter around town.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

I personally think the 406 Hdi is the best car Peugeot have ever made, I have had three, still got two of them, they just don't seem to go wrong and if the do they are relatively straightforward to repair.

There is a wealth of knowledge on the forum which I'm sure you will fine helpful.

Just one question, do I have to wait until a certain amount of posts before I can add to my profile? I can't seem to see an option at the moment...
