Discuss the 406's Bodywork stuff in here (what parts fit what, what can be interchanged with what etc etc).

windscren jets epic fail

Post by omega »

as all the flies from miles around are comminting sucide on my windscreen decided to ajust the jets so they spray the screen and not the car behind me :cheesy:
after trying to bend them down and having them fall out there slots and breaking one of the clips and wasting 20 mins i finally reliased that if you used a pin in the jet you could move it to where you wanted :!:
hope this helps someone or maybe everyone else knows

Is it possible to fit misting washers to the 406 saloon? Rather than a jet, it's like a mist that gives more coverage?

Yes the old pin move jet trick can be good for tricking friends if you know where they will be standing (eg. if they always wait at the side of the road for a lift / bus etc.)

The old Alfa GTV had the jets *on* the windscreen wipers

So it scoooshed as it wiped! Was quite cool!

Suppose they couldn't have drilled jet holes into the plastic bonnet or something?

The old BXs had them on the arm too, pain in the arse when they blocked of course but so much better than these stupid breaky-offy things.
