I have a 2002 406 saloon, a 2 litre diesel Rapier 90 manual. It's blue (which may or may not be the problem, hehe).
Packed up the car today, and an item of clothing got caught in the bootlock when I closed it. After a bit of pushing/ pulling (and swearing), I managed to reopen the boot lid. I removed the offending item and reclosed the lid.
Now the damn thing will NOT open at all.
I have tried opening and closing the central locking several times, but it's still stuck fast. I CAN hear the motor on the boot lock operating though. I've also tried locking/ unlocking the lock with the key from outside. I HAVE got into the boot by sticking a pole through the ski flap, and releasing the back seat. I've emptied the boot, and can't see anything now stuck in the lock. I've removed the plastic trim below the lock, and can see the "locking arm" that goes through the brass "loop" fixed to the car, but no matter how hard I try to prise it over, it won't move

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can get the lid open, or am I going to have to take it to a mechanic and let them play around with it?
I can get into the boot through the back seats (just - I'm not a small person!), so if anyone has any ideas - I'd really appreciate them??????
Thanks in advance ,
Lee.
