replacing check strap

hi guys does anybody know how to change a check strap on a pug 406 rapier (passenger door )just bought one from stealers £23.00 and want to give it a go myself rather than a garage,im not the best person with patience,how long would it take and is it fiddly,?

Hi mate,

its a 15min job.

iirc you have to remove the door card,
ithink theres 10 or 13mm bolts holding it to the door and one bolt holding it to the post,

hardest bit is removing the door card,

hopefully someone will post up some better instructions.

It is fiddly. Only done it on the rear door so far, but the worst part I found was trying to twist it round to get it in the right place to fit through the hole in the door.
