sill rubber door seals?

Discuss the 406's Bodywork stuff in here (what parts fit what, what can be interchanged with what etc etc).

Hi, I got new rubbers recently.

After trawling through eBay I only found one or two and they were £25 + postage, second hand ones are hard to come by.

I eventually went to Peugeot directly, and got them for the same price but without the postage as I picked them up.

Part numbers are;
9023 LJ for the left,
9023 LK for the right.

You will also need some clips, they are only a few pence each ( 6 come with each strip but you need 19 per side in total )
6997 86 is the part number.

Hope this helps....

hello

I need to replace the sill rubbers on my 2002 2.0 HDI 406 estate but I only see references to the parts 9023 LJ and 9023 LK - are these parts the same for both saloon and estate?

Thanks

Yes, the parts are the same for both saloon or estate.

If they are still in one piece you can stick them on with spray on contact adhesive, you need to thoroughly clean the metal surface first, I use meths, not me personally you understand . :?

Thanks for the responses (especially for the meth tip).

They are still in one piece but look the worse for wear (possibly even stretched) so I should probably get a new set. I also have a less than perfect seal at the top of the front passenger door (makes a whistling sound at speed) - initially I thought the door must be misaligned or bent but now i wonder if it's just that the rubber has perished and i need a new set there too.

Thanks again.
