But since you've got an aftermarket radio and you haven't got the external temp sensor or the trip computer, there's not alot of point in you getting the display. I used to find that little recess very handy for storing my mobile phone (until I put a display in there of course! ).

Yeah I did, but only because I changed the radio to the one that needs the display and I only did that because I wanted to fit a CD changer and the basic radio doesn't have the CD changer control. Didn't use any of the other functions though, just the radio display.

It's where my rubber clutch pedal cover lives for weeks at a time after it slides off while driving... There's nothing visibly wrong with it, it just comes off on its own. The only downside is that metal pedals hurt on barefeet, people fiddle with it when they hop in, or your dad slaps you with it and grumbles about road worthiness.
